All managers should be given the skills to support employees with mental health issues.
Guidance published in March 2022 by NICE (The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) and PHE (Public Health England) on Mental Wellbeing at Work outlines key skills for managers which includes:
- how to identify early warning signs of poor mental wellbeing
- awareness of the stigma associated with poor mental wellbeing
- information and resources on mental wellbeing
- how to have a conversation about mental wellbeing with an employee
- ongoing monitoring of mental wellbeing in the workplace
Our Mental Health for Managers workshop is great for managers, team leaders and supervisors short on time and equips them with the essential information and skills they need to help them have conversations about mental health and wellbeing at work.
