All managers should be given the skills to support employees with mental health issues.
Guidance published in March 2022 by NICE (The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) and PHE (Public Health England) on Mental Wellbeing at Work outlines key skills for managers which includes:
- how to identify early warning signs of poor mental wellbeing
- awareness of the stigma associated with poor mental wellbeing
- information and resources on mental wellbeing
- how to have a conversation about mental wellbeing with an employee
- ongoing monitoring of mental wellbeing in the workplace
Our Managing Mental Health and Wellbeing at Work course equips managers, team leaders and supervisors, with the skills they need to manage mental health and wellbeing at work.
We recognise that the topic of mental health can be emotive for many and we aim to create a safe and inclusive space where everyone can participate.
Our courses are engaging and interactive whether delivered face to face or online. Workshops include a mix of small and large group discussions, quizzes and polls, individual activities that encourage self reflection and small group activities for skills practise.
We are delighted that the CPD Standards Office has accredited this course with 6.5 CPD hours.
The course can be delivered face to face in one day or online via Zoom in 2 live sessions (either one day or across 2 days according to your organisation’s requirements).
